I've recently begun to spend time in Pattaya and don't really understand why there are so many sex pats there. I came across this shit article about them too.

I presume you're the writer, as nobody would be so critical of an article they then post to back up their own observations.

they are there for the beach and temples I believe

and you have your answer.... without those sex-pats, Pattaya will be a dull sleepy

town with nothing to offer....
