Annual Road Tax

Can some one please give me an idea on how the annual road tax works here for Pick up, is it based on engine size, number of doors Etc..? along with the current costs if possible.

As far as I can work it out it appaers to be based on various factors, engine size, number of doors seems to be the crucial thing. Once it getds to 5 years the fee is reduced each year. the cost includes some minimal govt insurance My friend pays about 900 baht for his 2 door, my 4 door is about 5000!

just paid mine this morning, 4 door nissan pickup, 3 years old, 6700 baht.

I pay just over Bht 1,000 for my 2 door (extra cab) pick-up.

A friend pays over Bht 7,000 for his Sportrider.

It's all to do with doors and passenger seats.

I think there is a 3litre watershed too....anyone got the Mitsubishi 3.2?
