Monomial
My wife has approached me with her new idea to do khao mao in her Issan village. As this would require a not insubstantial investment I am trying to investigate the market. Unfortunately, there appears to be precious little reliable information about this on the Net. Is anyone else here growing it? Also, apparently it needs to be cooked, milled and crushed before sale. Does anyone know of a source for purchasing the industrial wok+agitators and the Thai rotary wooden hammer mills needed to do this? Photos attached of what I mean. Most of my information so far has come from a ThaiPBS documentary, but I am very interested in any first hand information that anyone might have. Thank you for any information. Lamkyong
if you have to pay anyone apart from growing /harvesting for any of the procedures unfortunately no profit even though finished product does command a seemingly good price ie 80/100 bht per kilo
