Thunderstorm Topples 30 year-old Samanea Saman Tree

PATTAYA: -- At 00.30 hrs on 28th September an hour long thunderstorm flooded Beach Road, Soi Buakao, Mumaroi Junction, Soi Nongyai Templ. The road alongside the railway tracks heading to Kao Talo saw flood levels of 50 to 80 cms.

Small cars could not pass and the high waters contributed to the breakdown of many motorbikes.

The thunderstorm also caused a 30 year old Samanea Saman tree to fall and block the road in Central Pattaya. Occurring in an area is normally used to avoid floods this increased traffic dramatically.
