Mounting health risks for indulgent Gen Y: survey

BANGKOK: -- GENERATION Y face greater health risks than older generations, as they average a mere 1.14 hours of physical activity each day and also smoke and drink more than older Thais, a survey has revealed.

 

Conducted by the Mahidol University's Institute for Population and Social Research, the survey also shows Gen Y prefer to live in cities and on average start having sex at 15 and have five sexual partners as teenagers.

Gen Y crave for an independent life and do not want children, as they feel the world is too dangerous.

Yep, so true.

15 years ago, you would never see fat kids here. Now since donuts, Big Macs, cupcakes etc etc.

the Thai kids, are as fat as Western kids. So health problems will come to them as they get older.

Same as in the West.
