No More Xbox Live? Ms Shutting Down Accounts Soon

With the advent of the Video Marketplace on Xbox live (where you DL Tv shows etc) it appears that MS is soon going to start closing down Xbox live accounts for those consoles with IP addresses that do not match the origin country of the console. All due to copyright issues associated with video distribution

So my UK 360 and associated Xbox Live UK gold account could be shut down as my IP is always from Thailand. Likewise all those people with the Japanese & US 360's will also get accounts shut down if they connect from outside these countries!

I hope the rumours going around are false and they do not do this - I'd hate to lose the multiplayer for my 360!

If it does indeed come to pass it's going to make piracy of the 360 even worse cos if you can't use Xbox live anyway there is no longer any fear of being caught playing a copied game and having your account banned!
