Bangkok Bank online OTP

Featured Replies

When adding an account to transfer to to Bangkok Bank online what are you meant to enter for the account number at the OTP prompt

The full account number?

The three digits which are xxx'd out?

All digits from the xxx?

The account number with the xxx in?

Confusing

Do you mean the number for the OTP? If so the number that they send you on your mobile phone..........that you have registered with your account............

That is the one time password

Yeah got the sms, the OTP seems fine, say invalid account number though, you have two boxes on bangkok bank to fill out

You have to enter Account Number which it doesn't seem to accept. Confusingly next to box it say 123xxx so not sure if its first six digit, just the missing 3, everything after the first six ? think I've tried them all though

Although I don't see it before my eyes currently:

What is displayed is the account number with 3 digits replaced by "x".

In the box you have to fill those missing digits.

It's not the OTP but an extra security step to make sure that you have double-checked the account number when adding a new account to transfer to.

So if the full account nr. would be:

4711081569

then the bank OTP SMS would display for confirmation:

4711xxx569

and what you have to fill in the box is:

081

Hope I got it right

(I have done it multiple times but memory fades)

just the missing 3

This should work.

And it does.

Just tried a real life example.

Just tried that and no success. The account number is 10 long the box shows the first 4 numbers and then xxx

Wait, I got it.. You enter in the last 3 numbers of the account you would think the xxx were what needed confirmed

Forget my above posts.

THAT'S how it works!

A real example.

(The account number is not an existing one. For add account you can use any invented number. Verification will not happen until you try a transfer)

As written I have a done a couple of these but quite long ago.

So needed a refresh.
