PrePaid Credit cards

Featured Replies

This may have been covered in the past so please be patient. Is prepaid Visa/MC Credit cards available in Thailand?

Yes, kind of.  Assuming you already have a bank account here then your bank will likely issue you a "credit" card if you deposit an amount equal to or perhaps slightly more than the credit limit they give.  So it is a secured credit card but possibly more useful than the normal debit card, it will have your name on it for one thing.

I guess he was more looking for a credit card that you can buy somewhere in Thailand if you have no bank account in the country.

That was what i was looking for ... But didn't find any until now.

The use would be to avoid opening a bank account (cost of it / getting refused to open one) and it would be easier and cheaper to get money from the card.
Transfer by international bank transfer sometimes can be done in a cheap way. Getting money with a foreign card is an expensive thing.
