DNA tests link suspect’s shirt to two victims

Bloodstains linked to slain scavengers.

 

BANGKOK: -- BLOODSTAINS on a 20-year-old Myanmar suspect's shirt came from two murdered scavengers whose bodies were found in Pathum Thani's Thanya Buri district, according to preliminary DNA tests.

The findings were disclosed yesterday by Pol Lt-General Charnthep Sesawet, acting chief of Provincial Police Region 1, who added that police would recheck the evidence and then submit the official DNA test results.

The bodies of Supakorn Khokkran, 25, and Sathien Sornchai, 48, were discovered last Tuesday and Thursday respectively. DNA tests on another slain scavenger, Supapan Khong-yoodee, 38, had yet to be completed, Charnthep said.

DNA tests implicate a Burmese suspect in the murder of two scavengers

 

 

BANGKOK: -- DNA from blood stain found on the shirt of a Myanmar suspect has matched with the DNA of two of the three dead scavengers whose bodies were found under the Don Muang tollway bridge on in-bound Paholyothin road.

 

Pol Lt-Gen Charnthep Saesavech, acting commissioner of Provincial Police Bureau 1, told the press on Monday that he had received a report of DNA tests from blood specimens taken from Jimmy, a homeless Burmese suspect, and the three victims.

 

The blood tests show that the DNA of the blood found on Jimmy’s shirt has matched with the DNA of the bloods of Suporn Kokkram and Somyos Meeborsap.

Burmese serial killer in Thailand. Must be a first.

I like how they use the term "scavenger" instead of "homeless" person.  It actually indicates that they were earning an honest living as opposed to just creating  a public nuisance.  RIP.

recycling workers would be a more accurate description and they make a fairly big green contribution

So the police tortured the DNA until it matched? That's the armchair detective's conclusion ?

" preliminary DNA tests". what does that mean,same blood group,

but not DNA ? stabbing someone so many times, should result in

more than blood spots on your t shirt ?. not saying he's innocent, but.

Of course it is their conclusion, as long as the suspect of a crime is not Thai the police is never right and they always are guilty of fabricating evidence to stitch up a scapegoat.

Not where I live, they dig through garbage cans till they find what they want and leave the rest lying on the ground.

reply to post 15, incorrrect , the person was found murdered and was deemed to have been  murdered 3/4 days previously.

Sooooo much doubt created when we see this lot at a crime scene,terrible !!........
