ACH (US) transfer to Bangkok Bank USD account- a/c number too long (19 digits)

Featured Replies

I have a THB account with Bangkok Bank and have been doing ACH transfers to their New York branch with that and it works fine, appears in my account 2 days later. That account number is 10 digits long.

I just opened a USD account with them but the account number they gave me for this is 19 digits long.

ACH in the US has a 17 digit limit on account numbers.

Anyone here have experience with transferring money from the US into a USD Bangkok Bank account? Is this possible through ACH?

OK, I think I worked this out myself:

  • Enter the account number of the recipient at Bangkok Bank in Thailand
    - For Thai Baht account, enter the 10-digit account number
    - For US Dollar account, enter the first 16-digit account number
