PHUKET: -- Police in Phuket have arrested Uzbekistan national Srojiddin Bakhadirov, who acted as translator for Adem Karadeg, the prime suspect in the Erawan Shrine bombing in Bangkok in August last year.

Bakhadirov, 39, was wanted on an arrest warrant No 231/2559 issued by the International Criminal Court of Southern Bangkok on June 17, explained Lt Nuruwat Puttivero of the Phuket Tourist Police, who led the arrest.

The warrant was issued after Bakhadirov jumped bail while facing possession of marijuana charges in Bangkok.

Bakhadirov has consistently denied the charge, claiming that police officers planted the marijuana on him as punishment for helping Thailand’s Uighur community – an allegation that police have denied.

Gotta love that the Police's translator was actually himself facing charges. That really would have been a true and unbias record for the court!

Because the police wouldn't frame someone here, would they?

Hard for me to comprehend why marijuana was every criminalized in Thailand. Personally I don't smoke although I tried it in Australia once. I'd rather drink a whiskey, wine or beer. :)

...wonder who is calling the shots in this case.....

...and why nobody has put their foot down yet......

...so many irregularities.....
