Police commissioner general vows to solve traffic woes, combat crimes

BANGKOK, 13 October 2016 (NNT) - Police Commissioner General Pol. Gen. Chakthip Chaichinda pledged to promptly solve traffic woes and continually combat crimes on occasion of the National Police Day 2016.

The police chief assured that the people will feel safe and satisfied with the police performances especially involving the traffic congestion and crimes and that nobody could unlawfully interfere in the police affairs.

Meanwhile, Pol. Gen. Chakthip said a police reform plan will be finished and submitted to the government in the next few months. As part of the reform plan, people will be provided conveniences and hospitality at police stations, he said.

He said he had been satisfied with the police performances such as the successful handling of sensational crime cases over the last 12 months.

I wonder what my boss would say if I informed her of my intention to continually do my job.

I took a vow once . . .

On TV we have the p.o.t.y. competition.

I think  General Chakthip is running for Thai joker of the year, with comments like that:clap2:

Is it April 1st already??

Ah ... new broom sweeps clean ... think that I have heard that before ...

Again? Never ending promises. Just wave Art44 magic wand and everything will be just fine for the police.

Windowdressing and nothing more. This should not be something new, it should have been standard 50 years ago.

Where's the major, top of the picture changes in policy followed by new methods of implementing the new policies?

Talk is cheap when words have no value.

He can vow all he wants but there's the slight matter of all his subordinates who despite all the urging etc simply do things, or not, as they want and suits them best.

Discipline, there is none and even th PM can't enforce it, as an example he ordered no more parading of suspects in front of the media and what happened, he was ignored too.

What's his name? Merlin?

I feel compelled to make a vow, too: I am vowing to not put faith in any of these vows anymore. They're all nothing but hot air produced by inflated egos.

Sensational! Thats "Amazing"

Oops im rumor monggering dam it!

I guess i might be taking up residence in this offered accomidation..

When it comes to dealing with crime and traffic in Thailand, calling the Thai police does not really cross anyones mind.

I was trying to keep my cynicism at bay, and was doing quite a good job at it, if I may say so... until I read the last sentence "... successful handling of sensational crime cases over the last 12 months."

How daft...

:cheesy::cheesy:

Very comforting, makes me feel warm and tingly all over, or it could be the white wine with lunch!
