Hello, can you get an extension of a 30 day visa exempt stamp in Thailand or do you have to leave the country? If so, which Laos border crossings are best to do this? Do you need to stay in Laos overnight or a couple of days or can you just come back to Thailand?

A 30 day extension to a visa exempt entry can be obtained from an Immigration Office for a fee of 1900 Bht.

If you did a border crossing to get a new entry you could cross, turnaround and come right back.

Samut Prakarn if you have an address with that province to put on the application form.

If not it would be Chaeng Wattana immigration.
