Most likely will find a lot of business will be closed outside of their normal opening hours.

And those that are closed outside of their normal opening hours will commence business the following working day at the commencement of their usual business trading hours, unless of course staff sickness/absence causes some form of temporary closure.............

Guess it will be busy, with it being a long weekend.

Pattaya could never close, surely?

Don't call me Shirley  :)  but no, even if some people think Patts is a theme park, it will not be closed.

            Define open!

All businesses that I have visited, in the last 2 days, are open during their regular business hours. This includes restaurants, bars, shopping malls, and the coconut bar area.

Is the Coconut Bar open outside normal business hours?:giggle:

Yes its open but there is no loud music in the streets and no very loud music in some establishments.  G clubs  and GG bars are still open.  The whole place has benefitted by the muted music. in some ways.  Bars like Scooters who feature great music are playing at low volume.....as of three days ago.  I have no idea about Insomnia Disco but The Ibar is still playing dreadful abuse gangsta and nigga rap riddled with vile language, racist phrases and obscene expletives albeit at a slightly lower volume but not low enough. The cacophonous  multi beer bar areas are quiet or closed.  A lot of high intensity lights and neon has been turned off.  Basically there's plenty going on. But there is restraint.

Just to be clear, would the OP prefer an open and crowded Pattaya, or a closed down and less noisy Pattaya?

I'd go there a lot more often if they closed it down on weekends.

No live music in open bars, and outside of Walking Street it may be a bit quiet. Everything else is open as usual.

Of course, silly question,24/7,........but for take away,s only though :sleepy:

No of course not.

We are going to put a big tarpaulin over the whole house and so will all the neighbors, its been a nightmare getting enough camouflage netting to ensure that Pattaya cannot be found on Google Earth to stop idiots from bumping into it.

You will be able to go from Chonbury to Rayong without seeing a single person or animal or vehicle; a veritable wasteland of nothingness.

God knows how long this will last for.

Will your brain be open is a better question?

Is Pattaya open this weekend ?

Nope.

All "entry" and "exit" routes in and out are blocked.

Pattaya has been "cut-off" from the "world".  Similar to Berlin Wall scenario.

Accept if you try enter by Microlite.

Try is the operative word, you know the Pattaya drone mob will be out in force shooting down any Microlites attempting to invade Pattaya air space

With a full set of SAM and Patriot batteries (to cater for all nationalities) plus a full contingent of local drunks and knobs operating a roving Stinger based system up and down Walking Street from the back of their scooters,

nobody will get in by land, air or sea. Nobody.

Don't try and don't say you have not been warned; all potential spies will be given the Pattaya Pier treatment, unless they can prove they are related to a Kattoy or a Russian princess.

A fate worse than death awaits all who enter here.
