BANGKOK, 23 October 2016 (NNT) - HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has chaired the morning religious rites for HM King Bhumibol.

HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on Saturday attended the Buddhist ceremony at the Dusit Maha Prasat throne hall inside the Grand Palace, in which monks performed chanting for the late monarch.

After the chanting was completed, HRH Princess Sirindhorn offered breakfast to all eight senior Buddhist monks invited to the ceremony.

Also at the ceremony were the late king’s granddaughter, HRH Princess Adityadhornkitikhun, who is the daughter of HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak.

Earlier on Friday evening, HM the King’s eldest daughter, Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya came out of the Grand Palace, after the evening Buddhist ceremony, to offer food and drinks to people, who have been stationed outside to mourn the revered monarch.

Princess Ubolratana also thanked all mourners for their moral support and engaged in conversation with many of them.
