Large number of people travel by boat to Sanam Luang to mourn late HM the King

BANGKOK, 29 October 2016 (NNT) – Many people travel by boat to Sanam Luang to mourn the late His Majesty the King while the navy and the Central Investigation Bureau provide free transports to facilitate the public. 

At Tha Chang pier, people dressed in black disembark from the boats. Naval Military Police, military and police officers and municipal authorities are stationed at all piers to provide safety and convenience to the public from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. 

The navy has provided free boat service from Tha Chang pier to Sathorn pier and Sathon pier to Tha Chang pier to facilitate mourners. There are a large number of people waiting in line to use boat service. 

In addition, the Central Investigation Bureau Joint Administration Center has provided free motorbike service at Ratchaworadit pier, Navy Club, to facilitate the public who come to express their grief over the passing of the late His Majesty. 

The Central Investigation Bureau’s free motorcycle service will be provided to the public daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Initially, the service will be available until 21 January 2017.

Dear Naval Military Police, Military and Police Officers, CIB and any authority that seeks to provide "safety and convenience",

 

Please do not allow the everyday commercial passenger boats to travel overloaded.
