My first thought was that, just like the thrill-seekers (or lazy bastards) on bikes in the dry - he was travelling on the wrong side of the road.

Why does thrill seekers become lazy bastards

I remember an MP,  who thought he was a bit of a Flash Harry, doing this in the Don Muang area a few years back and getting thumped when the wash from his jetski swamped a small boat.

Right you are 'nongKhaiKid', a bully of a PTP MP for Don Muang, and a criminal too, when I remember well.

Being a thrill seeker is an age thingee. Most of us are well past that. For some of us thrill seeking is having dinner with a beautiful young lady a good meal and a nice bottle of wine hoping to get lucky at the end of the evening.

waking up everyday's enough for me

Me thinks you are doing something wrong if leaving it down to "hoping" lol

Just my advanced age. Next stage is to ask outright for a night of fun and frolic. If I ask a 100 ladies 99 might slap my face but I will get lucky with one.

That was harmless. Even seemed measured. If you have to crow about thais because of that, there is something wrong with you!

Agreed and he kept a safe distance from the trucks. Kudos to him for finding a clever way to beat the traffic in the middle of a flood.

What a non event. I might have tried it myself given similar cirumstances and a a barrage of innoculations and anti bioitics.

There you go looking at the serious side of things again. Loosen up you only travel this way once. I do not wish to live my life in a plastic tent to keep away the ills of the world away. Don't worry be happy or some such rot. Tallyho.

Better than the heavy artic truck overtaking on a corner in the rain over the double yellow lines

In rain and on a down hill straight between Mae Sariang and Hood in Chiang Mai 2 cars overtaking over double yellow lines had been enough for me to force me with my Honda 650 over the white sideline and there crash in the slimy mud.

I was not good enough dressed and had not so nice contact from skin to asphalt. ?

Do you really have to make fun of my diminishing libido???

No, no my dear Elgordo.?

Writing that, I thought about my own problems, after taking all these Hypertension limiting tablets and beta blockers during the day which can have side effects. ??

That unfortunately is the thing with bikes Alfredo. We are the vulnerable ones and cars just don't see us.

The great majority of bike accidents are caused by car/van/truck driver error.

Road rash.....ouch!

Maybe the beach rentals will move to the big city. I will be fun to watch the BIB chasing them.

Something new as they don't chase anything else other than Bhat.

Do people still do that?  At my age I prefer "cash and carry."
