Man murders ex in front of office staff at Bangkok building supply firm

BANGKOK: -- A man walked into a building supply firm in Samut Prakarn yesterday and shot the owner in the head. She was his ex lover.

 

Dead at the scene was 41 year old Sumsiri who had been shot in the right temple. She was face up in a pool of blood. She was shot in an office on the ground floor of double fronted shop house where building supplies are sold, reports Sanook.

 

Bang Poo police soon rounded up the shooter. He is a man called Samart, 40, who is Sumsiri's ex lover. He used to be the manager of the shop and was a building contractor in the area. He was arrested in the Parusapha housing estate nearby.

 

Taken into evidence was a 9mm revolver that had no bullets left in the chamber.

 

A staff member at the office Suwimon, 23, said that Samart had walked into the office and requested some documents from the victim. Five staff members were present. As Sumsiri bent down to retrieve the papers the shooter pulled out a gun and shot at her but missed.

 

He then grabbed fired twice again and hit her in the head killing her instantly. He then pointed the gun at his own head and pulled the trigger.

 

But there were no more bullets in the gun.

 

He walked out and drove off in his pick-up truck.

 

Suwimon said that the couple had been together many years until the Sumsiri found out her man had another woman and they split up. He had tried to get back together with her but she wouldn't have him back.

 

Samart was charged with premeditated murder and weapons offences and detained.

So HE cheated on her, that was why she left him... and because he loved her so damn much, he had to kill her! On a day like this, no madness really surprises me!

What is with all these men killing  exes, girlfriends, wives, mothers fathers and daughters recently.  The events seem to be accelerating.

 

It appears it's time to place warnings on marriage  license applications. 'A love relationship can be fatal to all family members, and relatives, including yourself.'

Caution is recommended.

No wonder so many want Western men. 

Wonder how much his fine will be? Somewhere in the 500  - 1000 THB range?

The French call this a "crime of passion".

It happens everywhere.

I would not be surprised if money played a significant part in the decision making process to commit murder bearing in mind the circumstances.

He'll be out in 10. Murder isn't really a big crime in Thailand like Lese majeste is

Anyone throwing acid is horrific. It's not exclusive to any specific nationality.

Should have left the woman alone and use the gun on himself.
