Angkorstores Debut in 2017

Featured Replies

An online store for mostly Cambodian products – which aims to reach a worldwide market – is planned to be launched  in January. Angkorstores.com will be modeled on online trading giants Amazon, Alibaba and eBay. Mom Varin, director of Mom Varin Investment, said Angkorstores.com will be the biggest online shopping portal in Cambodia.

The first investment of $100,000 would go towards bringing Cambodian products to the global market, in a project developed by Mom Varin Investment and V Japan Tech International. Mr. Varin said Angkorstores.com has tens of thousands of products in about 13 categories including agriculture, construction, vehicles, electrical equipment and telecommunication, medicine and beauty, and food.

“Angkorstores.com will be similar to Amazon, Alibaba.com or eBay.com since it has a huge database and has tens of thousands of varieties of goods available for customers’ needs,” Mr. Varin said. “The purpose of Angkorstores.com is to promote Cambodian products to the world market and make them available for customers worldwide.”
