November 11, 20169 yr Does anyone know (provided the sky is clear) what the best time will be to observe Monday's super moon here in Isaan?
November 11, 20169 yr After moonrise All full moons rise about the time the sun sinks. For Khon Kaen, Nov 14, moonrise is 17:35h (sunset 17:34h). The first hour is especially nice to watch during dawn. Let's hope for clear sky. http://www.timeanddate.com/moon/thailand/khon-kaen Times vary over Thailand depending on longitude. The further east the earlier the moon rises. Chiang Mai 17:49h Bangkok 17:48h Phuket 18:02h Sakon Nakhon 17:29h Edited November 11, 20169 yr by KhunBENQ
November 11, 20169 yr Author Thanks for that KhunBenq. I watched the moon starting to rise this evening at about 5pm in Buriram. It wasn't (obviously) full. As it rose in the sky it got brighter and I'm hoping that not too late in the evening of thev14th I can observe a phenomenon that has only occurred once in my lifetime when I was far too young to appreciate it. I very much doubt that I'll be here to see it next time.
