BadCash
I want to buy an S5 and had a look in a Samsung store, power buy and jaymart but they all tell me "old model, Thailand no have. Only S7." Anyone know where I can buy a new and guaranteed genuine S5?? They're still available in Sweden, so it seems very strange that they are too old for Thailand... Don Mega
2 models old and 2.5 years since release, does not surprise me it is no longer available. Maybe buy one from Sweden. Edited November 12, 2016 by Don Mega
Gary A
Maybe you are lucky. I bought an S5 and shortly after the warranty expired, the mainboard died. Samsung wanted 7,000 baht to replace it. A shop in TukCom Pattaya told me it wasn't worth repairing. It was a bit strange that a friend of mine with an S5 also had the mainboard die. He bought an S7. I just ordered a Xiaomi Mi5 3GB RAM 32GB . This phone was considerably cheaper than an S7. I hope the Xiaomi is better than a Lenovo that I had. canthai55
Ah yes - the old 'outdated model' scenario. Happens more and more. Upgraded my Toshiba laptop to Win 10. Seems they do not have a driver compatable with win 10 for WiFi. Had to buy a NetGear adaptor. BS - but what U gonna do !!!

I was thinking of buying one too...but then: "Xiaomi Can Silently Install Any App On your Device" http://thehackernews.com/2016/09/xiaomi-android-backdoor.html and http://thehackernews.com/2015/09/android-smartphone-malware.html Sigh...... I did read the article before ordering this phone. I decided that xiaomi would be suicidal to allow malware to install on their phones. After I did some more research, I couldn't find any instances or problems.
Somtamnication
Yes, but this new one is worrisome, with regards to this BLU company. http://www.phonearena.com/news/N.Y.-Times-Back-door-in-certain-Android-phones-sends-data-to-Chinese-servers_id87822
