Nakhon Phanom Hospital allocates space to sell rice

 

NAKHON PHANOM, 16 November 2016 (NNT) - Nakhon Phanom Hospital has allocated its first outpatient floor for the sale of rice, as part of the government’s policy of assisting farmers currently struggling with the price slump. 

Director of Nakhon Phanom Hospital Yuthachai Trisakul said the hospital’s large volume of daily visitors makes the place an attractive venue for selling rice products. It has therefore coordinated with rice farmer groups to feature their high quality rice at the hospital free of charge. 

On the first day of the program, six vendors set up shop at the hospital, selling jasmine rice, brown rice and rice berry. The shops were well received by hospital staff and visitors.
