Kuchinarai district police plant their own rice and farm their own fish for consumption

 

 

BANGKOK: -- Kalasin provincial governor Natthapat Suwanprateep and the acting provincial police chief Pol Col Montri Charunpong on Thursday went to Kuchinarai district to participate in the harvesting of rice crops in a 15-rai plot cultivated by the district policemen.

 

The rice farm in Ban Non Samran of Tambon Buakhao was the initiative of Pol Col Prasit Champathum, the district police superintendent, to plant rice for his policemen’s consumption.

Whilst they're fishing and harvesting who's patrolling the streets

They are taking away the farmers livelihood and not doing their jobs.

The criminals will be having a field day, while the BIB are busy harvesting rice.

The criminals will be harvesting elsewhere.

Get paid to !! Serve and protect, then spend their time farming, disgraceful.

Are police also looking to get government rice subsidies and soft loans to supplement their incomes?

Maybe they're not doing their jobs already so have the time for rice farming.

they also cultivate their own criminals who, similar to crop rotation, show up at the station on a revolving schedule for processing. It's a sufficiency thing. 

It's good that they invited Elton John to witness the first harvest.

well, in their free time .....

at least they definitely do something positive

The BIB would say to you, "If you are all good citizens you wouldn't need us all the time."- I believe that's true.

It's a wonderful idea that they grow their own rice and keep some fish as well. The police force is quite large so they rotate their farm duty. It is possible to keep law and order at the same time grow some foods.

It would be worst if off duty police just sit around drink mekong don't you think so? Off duty they go to the farm that they love so much.

For those of you who never do any farming before, the touch of the soil and the joy of seeing the fruits of your labour give you immense joy and a sense of achievement that is desperately missing in many jobs.

CARRY ON WITH THE GOOD WORK .

By the way if some is dead he is dead not much good calling the police, because police are not well trained(or well paid) to catch the murderer, get the point? No?Just live a quiet life, no drunkuness, no deal with prostitute, no bar rounds, never show your money or wealth then you don't get murdered in Thailand. Oh, last but not least don't marry a thai lady be they good girls or prostitute makes not difference. Just don't if you value your life. You don't have to marry to be happy in fact you are more happy not being tie down to some thai lady. Your wallet will remain thick. A thick wallet makes a happy Farang. Yes.

suspect the army is cutting into their income streams. things are dire if they are needing to grow their own food.
