More conveniences provided to mourners at Sanam Luang

BANGKOK, 18 November 2016 (NNT) – The Joint Command for Peace and Order is providing more conveniences to mourners at Sanam Luang waiting to enter the Grand Palace to pay homage to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. 

The Joint Command added more facilities such as fans, seats, drinking water and mobile toilets at Sanam Luang for the general public writing to enter the Grand Place. 

Teams of boy scouts and girl guides are on site to provide wheelchairs for elders while umbrellas are available for mourners to shield themselves under the sun. 

A huge crowd dressed in black arrived at Sanam Luang, waiting in a long line to pay homage to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej inside the Grand Palace. 

The general public are permitted to enter the Grand Palace from the gate opposite the Supreme Court and Thammasat University. Mourners will have to pass through security to check for any dangerous items and are required to show ID cards or official papers.
