Volunteer security project launched as tribute to late HM the King

BANGKOK, 19 November 2016 (NNT) - Deputy Police Commissioner General Pol. Gen. Chalermkiat Sriworakhan presided over the launching of a volunteer security project as a tribute to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. 

Over 68,000 guards have joined the project by helping police officers with security and screening measures at Sanam Luang. 

The volunteer security project featured the performance of the guards under care of the nine Metropolitan Police divisions. A total of 4,400 volunteers from 88 police stations pledged to do good deeds as a tribute to the late His Majesty and sang a royal anthem together.
