Apple Pay

Featured Replies

Has this come to Thailand yet.Easy to incorporate in latest IPhones "wallets" but can it actually be used in Thailand?

Jeez, they've barely cottoned on to chip and pin let alone Apple Pay.

Forget it for some considerable time to come.

Not here yet but I am surprised people still use apple.

We are still manually signing paper credit card chits here, so Apple Pay is no doubt a long way off.

Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore are presently the only Apple Pay countries in Asia. I do like the ease of using Apple Pay, and with an Apple Watch, you don't even have to take your phone out of your pocket. Your transaction record is synced across all your devices as well, which is nice.

Just read where Apple will be rolling out a person to person Apple Pay feature, and this probably work in Thailand, so long as your credit card is from one of the countries where they operate.

Noted but I understand Samsung Pay is up and running in Thailand - essentially the same thing as Apple Pay - so it seems unlikely the issue is just about the country's failure to catch up with modern technology
