I was hoping that someone might know of a way I could get a long term visa easily considering that both my wife and mother are thai citizens. is there fasttrak for someone in my situation.

Usually when i go to thailand i get the thirty day stamp and it is just enough.

for my next trip i'm hoping to stay for many months or up to a year.

i don't plan on working, but do have money in savings.

If your mother is Thai have you considered obtaining Thai citizenship? Or does your current citizenship not allow duel citizenship?

You should be able to obtain a multi entry non immigrant O visa on the basis of your marriage certificate from most Royal Thai Consulates. That would allow over a year in Thailand using 90 day stays with only a border exit/entry/exit/entry required for another 90 days.
