Thai Health Promotion Foundation moves forward with 10 year plan to improve health of youths

BANGKOK, 23 November 2016 (NNT) – The Thai Health Promotion Foundation has progressed along its 10 year plan to work with communities to improve the health of youngsters in all aspects.

Head of the program, Pinsuda Siritharangsri, explained that her pilot initiative involves the health foundation working to encourage holistic approaches to health among communities with a focus on their younger members. The aims of the program are to reduce instances of malnourishment, drug abuse, video game addiction and other issues often associated with adolescents.

The program seeks to work with schools and other educational institutions across 40 networks, totaling 211 locations nationwide, to promote the health foundation’s 10 year goals. The goals include reducing smokers and alcohol drinkers, building health values, reducing obesity rates and reducing sexual disease transmission rates. The program is providing educational materials and urging students to spend their own time learning about healthy behaviors.

With not so many activities for the youth, I am surprised they arent worse off

I rarely see kids playing after school... So what is left for them to do?

This timely announcement has absolutely no connection with a bit of international shaming recently..
