Industrial sector pays less bonus and pay rise this year

BANGKOK: -- Environment-friendly energy cluster took the lead among 12 industry clusters for giving the highest rate of pay adjustment, an average of five percent, to its staff this year, according to the survey of the Human Capacity Development Institute of the Federation of Thai Industries.

Ranking second place with an average of 4.7 percent pay hike was the petro-chemical cluster followed by the health and beauty products cluster at 4.68 percent pay hike.

Automobile and spare parts cluster took the lead for paying 3.37 months of bonus to its staff followed by petro chemical cluster with 2.2 months of bonus and 1.82 months of bonus for electrical appliances and air-conditioner cluster.
