Spokesman: Govt takes care of all groups of people

BANGKOK, 25 November 2016 (NNT) - Government Spokesman Lt. Gen. Sansern Kaewkamnerd has confirmed the government has the duty to take care of all groups of people without hoping to gain their popularity.

The government spokesman gave an interview on Thursday, following the criticism that the government’s financial assistance for low-income people was not different from the populist policy in the past. He said the financial assistance was aimed at helping low-income people so that they could live a happy life. There were different measures to help them, including short- and long-term, depending on their problems, he said.

Lt. Gen. Sansern further explained that helping people in need without causing more problems in the future was called state welfare, not the populist policy. He added that the populist policy was used in the hope to gain votes without paying attention to long-term effects on the country.

The spokesman also suggested that people who were eligible for the financial assistance to spend it wisely for the benefit to themselves and their families.

They've certainly helped me ! I'm eternally grateful.

Just a pity some groups get more (much) than others

''So that they could live a happy life''.    They will still be living in the same hovel they were in before with piles of shit all around them.  The only difference will be the amount of butt ends will increase along with the piles of empty beer bottles !

There you have it folks, straight from the horse's mouth - it's not populist policy, IT'S state welfare !!!

As for Sansern's suggestion that this "government" takes care of all groups of people - well I don't now what it's done for the average Thai, but there's no denying that it certainly takes special care of anyone who disagrees with it.

'Let's call the whole thing off...'

It is top down help based on wealth and status.

Helps all groups, as long as you have money to fill brown envelopes.

Thank you dear general a good starting place might be here.  Sulfuric Acid Vapor Cloud Sends 30 To Hospital. Hold somebody accountable slap a big fine on them.

They particularly 'take care' of those groups that assemble in greater numbers than 5 :partytime2:

Quick, I must form a group!

but extra  special  care if your account runs into the hundreds of  millions  eh!!

Yeah the "mental home" where they all belong

The government is so full of themselves. Patriarchal pontificating puffed egos all around. Unbelievable.
