Hal65
What markets tend to have good quality shrimp in bulk? Here in Pattaya we have the usual Big C, Tesco, and also Makro, Foodland, Villa and Friendship supermarket.
wayned
The outdoor fresh seafood markets. I live in the boonies and there is a walking market in the town near me every Wednesday and a couple of vendors come with different size shrimp. I can buy any where from 1/2 kilo to 20+kilos. They are farm raised and are fresh and never have been frozen like those in the markets you mentioned. The vendors also have Tilapia, catfish, eel and frogs that are still alive. Nah, it was just that the OP asked about shrimp and I wondered if he really meant prawns. Live shrimp salad is good as is fried shrimp batter. Also good in small amounts dried shrimp in soup, etc. BTW, nearly 60,000 posts - a true vet.
