Police chief wants a word after Thai cop seen on Line faking suicide over transfer

SATUN: -- The chief of police in Satun wants a word with a policeman whose picture was posted on the Line application pointed a gun to his head.

The cop claimed that he was being badly treated by his superiors and was being transferred.

Now the top brass in the southern province want to talk to him about his "inappropriate" behavior as well as get to the bottom of who posted the picture on the popular application, reports Thairath.

The sharing of the picture caused a lot of online comment with some sympathizing with the cop - Jetsada Saleemin - for his treatment and others condemning him for pointing a gun at his head.

Now his bosses have said that Jetsada misunderstood what he saw as a transfer request. They said it was a problem with understaffing and not a transfer.

He should have read to the end of he order rather than jump to conclusions.

Jetsada is set to meet his chief today.

The boss will also be asking how the picture got on Line as it does not look good for the force.

He probably feels like committing suicide if he has been moved from a very enriching distribution list and placed lower down on a completely new list which is far less rewarding.

How very mature of him.

Jumping to conclusion...

Does this trait not show a very well trained Thai cop?

His "transfer" would cause substantial losses in kick-backs no wonder he was angry, some form of compensation should be put into place to prevent this from happening again....:cheesy:

it's a shame this little cry baby didn't have the guts to pull the trigger...

" as well as get to the bottom of who posted the picture  "   Is spanking an appropriate punishment for this?

I think no ice-cream after dinner or story before bed for 1 week would be more appropriate. .... and any trantrum  gets another week.

Who makes these headlines?

On LINE or online are two different matters.

NB: Does on Line even mean anything?

It got on Line because he posted it there.

Though I thought Line was just for teenage girls...

Line is a social network site for teenage girls...

Definately not psychologically fit to be a police officer

His boss wants a word with him but it really should be two, " Your'e Fired ! "

Fake suicide?......is anything real anymore?

You crusties need to get up to date. LINE and Facebook are ubiqitously used in Thailand and other SE Asian countries for social and marketing purposes, much more useful than email, websites etc. No better place to post your fake suicide!

Well, that might be sideline.

Reminds me of a scene in Blazing Saddles involving the black sheriff.

Shirley, there must be a Line sticker to make amends for that....

Line (styled "LINE") is a proprietary application for instant communications on electronic devices such as smartphones, tablet computers and personal computers. Line users exchange texts, images, video and audio, and conduct free VoIP conversations and video conferences. Today the popular messaging service is operated by Line Corporation, a branch of South Korea-based Naver 주식회사.

For teenage girls...

His "salary" probably went down from 100k to 10k when he got transfered,  good idea , maybe he can keep his profitable job.
