BANGKOK: -- South Korea has green-lighted chicken exports from The Thailand and is also lifting its ban on "Mahachanok" mangoes as well.

 

Minister for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives Gen Chatchai Sarikalaya revealed the good news to Thai farmers following a recent successful negotiation with his South Korean counterpart during his official visit to South Korea.

 

He said South Korea now allows Thai chicken exports after a negotiation.

 

But with regards to Mahachanok mangoes or more popularly known as ‘Rainbow’ mangoes, Gen Chatchai stated that South Korea wanted a little more time to work out the details involving foreign fruit imports regulations as well as minor health and safety protocols.
