Two Chinese Held Over Armed Robbery at Casino

Two Chinese men have been arrested after they allegedly broke into staff quarters at a casino and injured two fellow countrymen during a robbery at knifepoint. The robbery took place at the Leu Phnom Casino in Sihanoukville on Wednesday night.
 

Major Bun Vichetre of the Preah Sihanouk provincial police said Deng Seung-Ho, 22, and Liang Mu Cheng, 22, entered the room while Liu Siu Liv, 21, and Ouyang Kuching, 20, were sleeping. The assailants held a knife at the victims and ordered them to hand over money and other valuables.
 

The victims were stabbed when they tried to fight back. Mr. Liu’s back was injured and Mr. Ouyang was wounded in his right hand.
The thieves escaped with $3,000 and a laptop.
Maj. Vichetre said the suspects were later arrested and police confiscated $1,093, a laptop, a knife and other related material from their rented room.
