dalmatian
Hi guys, As an avid fan of Philippines and therefore always checking on the weather I think it appropriate for those who don't know already that Durian (Tropical Typhoon) is approaching over the next few days. The website for the Typhoon Warning Centre is shown below :- Durian Looks like it has weakened but will strengthen again when nearing the South, maybe Koh Samuii, please see graphic for track. Good luck guys.
PhilHarries
Just heard that Vung Tau (Viet Nam) is totally without power and there has been loss of life (no details though). Brit embassy has put out a call for all Brits to check in.
dalmatian
The news from Vietnam is really bad so would think that those in south need to be really aware of this Typhoon which is approaching rapidly. Having lived in P.I and having experienced the devastating effects of typhoons firsthand I would suggest some battening down of the hatches would be appropriate. This could prove bad for the south especially now we are into the high season, hope you guys down there can put the word out. It may be stronger than most people have experienced before so don't take this too lightly. Good luck.
