Mrs. just learnt to dive, so we did a trip to the Similans to get her up to speed. Generally speaking the water clarity was in most cases <deleted> in most places ( similans, tachai, richalieu. bon ), and quite cold atdepth. Never seen the water so murky. Although Similans is ok. it generally lacks interesting topics to take pcitures of ( prefer Manado ).

Here are some pics which required some creativity to keep the particles out of the pics. Was too lazy to do photo shop, so did some basic cropping in Picasa which is a great little tool.

Have not dived with a camera for 18 months, so you can see the first 30 pics or so are pretty rusty.

Got a 10.5mm fisheye (nikon) lens. If you want to know what this lens is capable of, see this wart slug taken at about 1cm infront of the mini-dome port at 28 meters ( boaring subject, but was a good test for the lens )

Maybe you should get back in the water again especially Manado, a great place, I did my open water there 2 years ago and then went to Komodo to do my advanced, both amazing really. I want to go back to Sulawesi soon, think I'll try Lembeh next time, have you been there?

liked the jellyfish at surface best... top notch stuff!
