Three Killed In Two Successive Pattani Shootings

Gunmen shot the car of village headman Pradub Mainjon Tuesday morning in Pattani province. He was killed on the scene.

 

PATTANI — Two shootings occurred Tuesday morning in the southern border province of Pattani killing three people.

 

Two out of those killed in the incidents were a village headman and a volunteer defense corp. Police did not determine if the attacks had been carried out by militants of the Southern Insurgency, as they were investigating. No suspect has yet been identified.

Hmm, villege headmen can sometimes ask for such. I know my local headman is paranoid of us and has been threatening because we asked too many questions about his bad dealings and subsequent instant wealth because he refused to kisten to a few issues we were having. Been having police do roadside stops just for us, gunshots outback and such. All fun... Might have nothing to do with MUSLIM insurgents which would be a first but still highly likely given the norm down south.

Sounds like you may have shook the wrong tree. Our headman is selling dope and running numbers games but I sure am not going to comment on that around here. I do hope he gets busted though, thats up to the citizens here I guess.

Yes just another attack by the oppressed people in the south.

Yeh, its all to common. True, its up to the citizens but they seem happy with mediocre kick backs.
