Toon Bodyslam Charity Run earns over 25 million baht in donation

 

BANGKOK, 7 December 2016 (NNT) - Rock icon Arthiwara Khongmalai, known to millions of fans as Toon Bodyslam, planned to run 400 kilometers in 10 days from 1 December to raise money for medical equipment and in memory of the late His Majesty King Rama IX. 

The project, conceived as a tribute to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, is entitled Kao Khon La Kao (meaning to "each takes a step") is to raise funds to purchase medical equipment for Bang Sapan Hospital in Prachuap Kiri Khan province. Currently, over 25 million baht has been donated. 

Toon Bodyslam and members of his musical group are running from Bangkok to Bang Saphan district in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, with a total distance of 400 kilometers. They stopped in front of Khlai Kangwon Palace to mourn the late monarch and they have now reached Rajabhak Park in Hua Hin. A small group of celebrities joined him for a short distance .

Interested individuals can make donations by transferring their money to the project's bank account, Krung Thai Bank’s savings account “Kao Khon La Kao for Bang Saphan Hospital Project” number 742-0-37811-8, or through SMS by typing T and send to 4242865. Each call will cost 10 baht and is only restricted for those using services provided by AIS, DTAC and TRUEMOVE H (this excludes a 7% VAT). 

The project's accumulated proceeds will be donated to the hospital on December 10, presumably after the rock icon has reached his destination at Bang Sapan market.
