looks possible that a new owner will be announced shortly, and the current favourite is, malaysian

tony fernandez, the founder of air asia, apparently also a lifelong hammer, talks have taken place in

K.L and he is attending the wolves game on sunday , the current direction team are impressed with his business style and his commitment to zola-clarke, and immediate strenthening of the first team squad.

hope this aint a press wind up , and if its gonna happen hope its a launchpad to safety and progress.

On another note, was encouraged by the performance against arsenal, we just ran out of steam, nouble? give him time hes 18 and was up against gallas, but i reckon cole when fit with diamanti are gonna have a feild day against most defences, we dont have aproblem scoring really, its the ever changing defence thats the problem, upson? id have 8m for him , but not for robert huth, theres no decent squad players out there available , more needing to spend 15m-20m on a top class defender, you never know maybe next we can afford to :)

I hope for West Hams sake they do get an injection of funding in the near future and road block all the negativity. They are great club and always have been. However dont take too much notice of the Tony Fernadez being "a life long fan bit"when Thaksin was trying to get his hands on Liverpol he was mouthing the same words but when asked could not remember more than about 3 players names. Fernadez maybe a different kettle of fish but they are "rich boys who want toys" and its very"in" to own a football club. Wish i could afford one !

cheers for the thumbs up sparkles, you will notice i did add ,apparently ,to the claim of him being a life long fan, , hes still not in there yet though, agree with your points ie rich boys toys etc, same as those badge kissin phoneys who would leave as soon as a wad a notes was flashed in front of them.

just hope our situation gets sorted soon, as ive said before no team has a right to be in premier league based on sentiment alone, and january is an extremely important month for west ham, ,ie buying, selling , 6pointers, investors, injuries, etc, january could determine where we are next season,ps carltons back for the villa game :D COYI

The FA ,as usual, taking an age to get any conclusion. Not the sort of news Hammers fans want especialy on top of the potential investors death. Out of adversity.......

Finally, we may have some stability & all of the intial noises, if not somewhat scary now that Sullivan has been VERY open with what state the Club still currenlty is on, are good...

Pinched from KUMB, some realism into how the next couple of Seasons could pan out..

David Sullivan stated this afternoon that the position is as follows

Season ticket income 70 % pre sold for next 2 seasons - i'm guessing but this probably means half the gate money for the next 2 seasons is already spent .Gone .

Sbobet money 70% taken 3 years in advance - as it says on the tin

All transfer moneys due in prepaid to satisfy banks , but £40m still owing to football creditors .

Therefore if we are looking forward not back my guess as to how next season will look , assuming we stay in PL

Matchday income ( tickets, corperate, burgers, beer etc) = £12m

Sky tv = £45m

Merchandising / sponsorship & commercial activity = £6m

Mid table finish = £6m

Therefore top side ( and I'm optimistic) = £69m income ( effectively turnover)

Less costs

Wages £45m

Sh*ff utd £5m

Interest £3m

Less Transfer payments due £6m

Leaving a "profit" of £10m , however , all of this will be used to pay down debt .

In essesence we are screwed for the next 2 years unless Sullivan puts more in himself, persuades others to do so , or we cash in a top drawer player .

Survive the next two years though , build the turnover to a sensible £85-90m ( which is where it currently is, we've just spent the money before we've earned it) , and the club will be self sustaining , capable of buying 2/3 cent decent players per season .

Our income will rise by getting the other half of the gate money back, all the sponsorship money , and reduced costs of S heffield United .Brady will also drive harder bargains than Duxburry .All in all for 2012-13 , a gain in net income of £30m .That funds the players .

How do West Ham fans feel about this proposed move to the Olympic Stadium ? My experience of watching from multi purpose stadiums is pretty negative. The Olympic Stadium in Sydney is used for Rugby league clubs games and the odd football international. Unless you have good, high priced seats you are miles away from the play and need field glasses to see the far away goal mouth also the atmoshere unless its near capacity is muted to say the least. Is this a realastic proposal or just kite flying

i beleive sullivan & gold are serious about moving, but its 2 years away, and there are plenty of loop holes, ie distance from playing surface, capacity?, cost ? running track? dig out and sink pitch.

man city done it , but at considerable cost to the club financially, 35m is what ive been quoted.

id sooner have stability in the club long term, then upgrade the boleyn and fill in the corners, 45000 capacity

It's certainly relaistic..

I'm not really sure whether i want it to happen or not but i won't let my heart rule my head..

In an ideal World we could develop the West Stand & add the bulk of our Corporate stuff within so we could attempt to compete with the higher earning Clubs, but i think that's less realistic than moving to the OS..

We ultimately have no say in the matter though & the new Owners will do what they feel is best for the club & i'm going to back whatever they feel is the right decision for the Club as i have REALLY liked a lot of what they have had to say since taking over from the Club & i am, before anyone says it, anything but gullable....

Long time not writing anything on the forum, been stuck in the UK, good to see M Singh has kept things going !! Where has happy hammer gone ?? l think the move to the Olympic stadium is fraught with difficulties, there was a big piece in the Newham Recorder about it, l think one of the major problems is not West Ham but the design of the stadium and the cost of alterations, some quotes have put it at more than the clubs debt, who knows ??? l think the new owners are banking on selling Upton Park as the only way to get rid of the crippling debt, but of course this has to be offset with how much it would cost to making the necessary changes to the olympic stadium because l think the club will be paying not UK Athletics.

l think the new owners are very shrude buisnessmen and given time will get out great club where it deserves to be, l think it is refreshing to hear their completely honest assesments about the clubs dire financial situation, whether the players or Mr Zola like it or not, this is whats needed, good luck to them.

This thing about them Mark is that at the end of the day, they are West Ham people & that should mean an awful lot to people..

In Life, Business & especially Football, everyone thinks they know best but these Guys are probably more than a tad more qualified in what decisions they decide to make being the right one's for the Club than the vast majority of others that care about the subject.

They are very, very successful Businessmen AND West Ham Supporters & now that they are in control of our Club instead of a bunch of Guys who, granted didn't have the best of luck what with Iceland & the Global Economy, they only saw West Ham as a Business, had no idea of the history of teh Club & most importantly, who us the Supporters, are & what we want from our Club.

These Fella's do so thumbs up from me in whatever they decide to do as i have no doubt whatsoever that it IS in the right interest for our Club..

firmly beleive with g &s behind the running of the club that its onward and upward,

although a s they have said it wont be overnight, coyi

Depends if you can get through the next few seasons without getting relegated and get your highest paid players off the books no matter how goood theyre meant to be, then you can start looking forward.

Decent win yesterday, although l'm still not sure about Zola's team selection, why does he never give Stanislas a run out, apart from Diamanti he's the only player on the team that can run with the ball and frighten defences, everytime l see him come off the bench this season he makes an instant impact.

l know Faubert has had 2 decent games recently but l think it would be better to play Spector at right back, with Stanislas in front which gives him the freedom to get forward down the right wing and the crosses into the box. l know he played Spector at right back yesterday, but previous to this playing Faubert as a right wing back was a disaster, we get leaving huge holes at the back when he got stranded up the pitch. Rememeber Lucas Neill last year, did exactly the same, yet Zola continues with it.

I'm a big Stanislas Fan but let's be honest, we're pretty much at Full Strength at the moment & it shows..

It's no coincidence that Behrami is back hence Faubert having better Games, it's no coincidence that Kovac is playign the best Football he has for the Club at the moment, it's no coincidence that we've had a steady back 4 for the past few Games & it's no coincidence that Diamnito is starting to get used to teh Premier League..

Spector's been playing Left Back Mate as Ilunga has been out & he's been playing very well too..

I found this piece very interesting :

Harry Redknapp has warned West Ham not to expect their latest batch of youngsters to eclipse the achievements of his own 'golden generation' at Upton Park. The east Londoners have reinvigorated their reputation for developing native talent by introducing James Tomkins, Freddie Sears, Jack Collison and Junior Stanislas to their first-team squad this season, but Redknapp insists they could never match the quality of the academy graduates developed during his seven-year tenure.

Redknapp oversaw the blooding of Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Jermain Defoe and Glen Johnson before leaving in 2001.

They may have a good crop of youngsters but i think it's looking unlikely we'll be playing them next year, unless it's a cup game. :)

Why is that interesting for you, did it go on to tell you what colour his underwear was on that specific day ??

Word from the hood is that Ludo has reisgned/been sacked..

I know that he has had a very bad back this Year & hasn't been working a great deal so it's a shame as i love the old Boy..

However, the INTERESTING part is his proposed replacement, someone right out of my manor, Plaistow/Canning Town, West Ham Boy & joined at the hip with a certain Ex Manchester City Manager which makes it all very nervy for a certain Italian Chimpanzee me thinks..

Kevin Hitchcock !!

Too much of a coincidence surely ??
