No Fees For Small Business Vendors

Prime Minister Hun Sen decided on Friday that small-scale vendors selling only one or two baskets of goods at markets across the Kingdom will not be required to pay any tax or fees to the government. 

 

According to a circular from the government signed by Mr. Hun Sen, small-scale vendors and poor people who sell small amounts of goods such as vegetables, fruit and handcrafts at temporary markets will not be liable for taxes or fees.  According to the new directive, all vendors at markets have to pay tax, stall fees and other fees to provincial halls. 
 

The premier however, said that small-scale vendors at all markets will not pay taxes or other fees and they would be ensured security, safety, hygiene and an environment supervised by local authorities.   Mr. Hun Sen ordered all provincial halls to organize places or markets for these kind of vendors and they would not need to pay any fees.
