Thai Netizen Network to monitor enforcement of computer crime law

BANGKOK:-- The Thai Netizen Network will keep a close watch on the enforcement of the Computer Crime Bill which passed the third and final readings of the National Legislative Assembly on Friday.

The NLA voted 168:0 to endorse the bill with five abstentions after five-hour debates.

TNN founder Ms Sarunee Archavananthakul said the bill was slightly amended which was a pity “but still better than no amendments at all”.

She said her group, at this stage, would monitor the enforcement of the law to determine its impacts. She added that there are four areas to watch: what will the police do with the old cases under the previous computer crime law; all the announcements issued by virtue of the old law; will the screening committee be transparent.

only 168? surely  something  wrong  there:wacko:

Hey Netizens.................youre a  bloody  joke:tongue:

Paper tigers. Stay at home, Netizens.

But who will watch the watchers' watchers?

For enforcement of The Computer Crime Law one has to hire a top Legal Company, at considerable personal cost but well worth it. The police will not enforce the law without being made to.

Not one dissenter incredible but then I guess anyone dissenting knew what their fate would be. It seems to me that a certain country years ago which shall go unnamed also talked their citizens into being informers. Seemed like a good way to get rid of your enemies and people you do not like. An internal police force of sorts. People Whisperers.
