Pope Francis turns 80

 

 

Pope Francis has celebrated his 80th birthday with a mass and a gluten-free cake made by a pastry chef in Rome.

 

At the special morning mass, he asked his cardinals to pray for him after confessing the thought of old age frightened him.

 

 

Eight homeless people were invited to breakfast, before the Pontiff continued his day “as normal” with meetings and audiences.

Not much of a Catholicism fan or religion but its nice to hear this coming from him. This thought has surely crossed all of our minds but we keep it to ourselves. Makes the fellow appear more human and on our level.

He is, and has been, in his short papacy to date, the best church reformer since the  failed VATCII.

 

No one leads by example anymore . Francis does and working  like JPII.
