Is there car parking available at Bali Hai pier,as we would like to leave the car there and take a day trip to Koh Larn island. Thanks
johng
At the moment there is lots of parking available as the speed boat operators have been forced to relocate.
NormanW
Yes there's a new blot on the landscape which is a multi story car park. It was built on a lovely green park area!!!
johng
@NormanW If you mean the "hi-tech robotic "parking garage its been a blot on the landscape for years now. 2012 2013 opened closed opened again total waste of money. frankthetank
Hi, does anyone have an update regarding the bali hai pier robo-carpark? is it open again or not?? thanks
thinkingman
It was open late August when I went to Koh Larn by ferry. I thought it was reasonably priced, efficient and friendly. (BTW, take the ferry over the "speedboat". I suggest Nual Beach, the prettiest and least crowded. Food is a little expensive, but good as only one restaurant.) Not to the people that got rich off it for the usual reasons. OP, take a baht bus from/ to Jomptien. Leave the car behind.

midas
I am nostalgic for the way that area used to look like in the pictures. Why do these people think the only solution is concrete concrete and more concrete? Edited October 9, 2017 by midas
