A 22-year-old man was killed by a train after falling asleep on the railroad tracks early on Friday morning in Takeo province’s Krang Ro Ouk village according to local authorities.

Moeurng Sarun, Samrong district police chief, said the victim, Kuch Raksmey, was a farmer living in the village.

Sarun said that according to the victim’s father, Raksmey had attended his brother’s housewarming party, which began Thursday evening and didn’t end until 3am on Friday morning. Sarun confirmed that Raksmey was intoxicated at the time of his death.

Requiescant in Pacé        I tried to imagine what that it would be like..   Falling asleep and then being suddenly awakened to find I fell sleep in the wrong place... and I've been sliced in two...... and knowing I'm going to fall asleep again in a few seconds......this time for good.

    Horrible...  the poor guy....

Man why would anyone sleep on railway tracks....drunk or not. Can't be very comfortable. But I quess when your that drunk you just don't realize what you are doing. Too bad and too young RIP.

As this apparently happens a few times a year I too wonder why the railway lines are chosen. Is it something so simple as being the only cleared area with something to rest your head on. I guess they just sit on the rail and next thing fall asleep.

There  is  some  kind  of  natural  law  that  explains  how

this  kind  of stuff  happens.  Fentenol or Carfennol would

have  been  as  quick  as  a train  for  ending  life.  I will try and

not  get  this  drunk  when  I  go  to  Thailand  in  the  future.

I am dumb struck  like  a  lot  of  the  readers  in wondering  how

this  guy  could lie down  and sleep on the tracks.  I worked on

the rails  when  I was  young,  and this  incident  is mind  bobbling.

My condolences  to the family  of this  young 22 year  old  guy.
