Best word for gov. old age pension

I have looked in various paper and on-line dictionaries for the Thai word for "gov. old age pension". It is difficult to find out which is the best word to use when speaking to an "average" Thai person.

It is not money from an employer or insurance or private fund or savings. This gov. old age  pension is funded by taxes and  is part of the social security system.

(I might add that  I have paid a lot of money in taxes over the years and it feels very nice to finally get a small re-fund.)

Since it is too late to edit my spelling error เกษียญ > เกษียณ I may as well add a few forgettable things which I gleaned from Longdo. in case anyone is interested.
บำนาญ is interchangeable with pension so เงิน is "reinforcement" if you would use it in English then use it in Thai.
I see that บำนาญ is also used for to annuities, early retirement, disablement in the military etc. เบี้ย is another word used for money given, I see that the retirement pension for service personnel is เบี้ยหวัด >"cowri shells for becoming a 'shambles'"! There will be other interpretations.
