Help! Requirements for visa run - ranong to myanmar

Featured Replies

My trip to Thailand surpasses my 30 day visa, I have a flight 2 days later, so my stay will be a total of 32 days.

I don't want any trouble whole leaving so I was considering paying 55$, for 2 days extra, or making the visa run in Myanmar.

From what I understand I go to ranong, get stamped out, go to Victoria point, stamp in and pay 10us$ wait a bit, stamp out and go back to Thailand and stamp back In.

Is this correct?

I was reading that I need a visa for Myanmar, about 50 $ for 24 hours or 85$ for a month? Do wouldn't I have a problem entering Myanmar if I do this visa run?

How much money would I spend versus the 54$ I would have to pay. Is it worth the hassle.

I'm new at this is would appreciate the help.

Thank you!

Seriously for all the hassle and time of going to  Myanmar why not just go to Immigration and pay the 1900 Baht for the extension?

You could chance your luck with the 2 day overstay and pay the 1000 Baht fine at the Airport, I wouldn't recommend overstaying in the current climate but some people do it

Forget about going to Ranong, just go to immigration and get the extension. It's simple to get.
