I made an enquiry on the 21/12/16,on application for a TM8 at BKK, arrived at

5.20 and  in a line till 6.20am had all the paper work but nowhere to apply

I.O AT P/port control said I was in the wrong area and pointed at boarding 

time 6.30am but he stamped my P/P so i boarded the plane,

on my return to BKK (big queues)i approached 2 I.O standing to the side

they looked at TM8 and they said join the queue and and you will get 

a 30 day VOA to which I recieved, but I have not been stamped with 

the re-entry permit, (forgot to add I am on retirement extension) am I

in trouble,and what do I do now???and before folks moan VIETJET

 took on average 7/8 min to book one passenger plus 2 lots of

Russians where arguing "took for ever "any help please ................. 

 

Sorry but you are no longer on a retirement extension of stay and will have to obtain a new non immigrant O visa entry to begin the process to apply for a new extension of stay.  You departed without a re-entry permit and that ends your current extension of stay. 

It seems you may of been in departure zone 1 (fast track). The re-entry permit desk is located in zone 2 now before the immigration desks. Or you missed the desk in zone 2.

As said you will have to start all over to get a new extension.

I thought that might be the case,bugger,bugger, Chang Wattana ,here I  come 

I cannot remember the proccess 8 yrs ago I applied for it,bugger!!!!!!!!!

If you have proof of the financials you can change entry from visa exempt to the required non immigrant O at Chiang Watanna for 2k and then in 2 months do a normal extension of stay at 1,900 baht.  Financials for change do not have to be seasoned.

much obliged.......... PS do I wait till visa exempt is nearer it "s time or 

go alot sooner.........like tomorrow

You need to do early - believe 15 days before it expires may be required - so do ASAP.
