Grum Yorum Susturulamaz is wrong writing, the correct writing is 'Grup Yorum Susturulamaz'
Grup Yorum = Name of the Band

Susturulamaz = Can't be silence

Meaning of all sentence is 'Grup Yorum Can't be Silence'

Thanks for the clarification.

What do you think it refers to?

Grup Yorum is a protest music group which is known for its leftist stance. They are active for more than 3 decades and their members have always had problems with the governments (imprisonments etc.). Since the current government pursues very oppressive policies against all opposition and dissent, the members of Grup Yorum were under pressure and they were facing threats. For instance, couple of months ago, the Turkish police raided the public cultural center (of which the Grup Yorum is a part) and vandalized everything, breaking the instruments etc. In response to that, Grup Yorum made a video with the broken instruments (titled "we are right and we will win"):

After a short while, all the members of the group were arrested, and they are all in prison now (a source in Turkish about that: http://www.bbc.com/turkce/haberler-turkiye-38087821 ).

So the graffiti on the wall is a protest against the government's attempt to silence them.

Thank you. I saw the pop group with this name and after a little research I agree but to protest right now is very bad timing. Wasting police time.

The signature (like a capital 'A' enclosed in a circle) at the underside of the graffity rings a bell though, I remember having seen it quite some time on the walls of European cities, but I can't 'situate' it at the time. Would it possibly have something to do with Kurdish movements fighting against Turkish occupation //for an independent Kurdish state...?

Are you serious?

Capital A in a circle has *always* been the symbol for Anarchy.

This piece of news has brought an immediate smile to my face. No, it wasn't me who did it :)  But, it is nice to know that I am not the only anti-fascist Turk in Thailand :)

Some posters above have explained Grup Yorum quite well. Yes, as an anti-fascist group, its many members have been detained, arrested and tortured over the years by the fascist Turkish security services.

But of course, Erdogan and this oppressive, fascist government of Turkey won't be dealt a blow via graffiti. Let's hope that the opposition, especially the secularists/leftists, organises itself and fights these fascists in an efficient way.

They were arrested recently. So the comment is about that incident.
