need a couple of words...

Is there a Thai direct translation for:

1. Intensity

2. Passionate [not necessarily in a romantic way, but as we might describe someone devoted to their work]

I can sort of work around these words in a longer description but was wondering if there was a one word solution...

Thanks.

Is there ever a one word solution? Thai as you say, works around with a longer description.
My E-T dictionary has passionate. ดระตือรือร้น If you Google it there are lots of examples. Building it in the workplace. Children being it regarding education etc.

I can already imagine the lamb eye you get from the locals when you try

to use those words on them.. Arai wha?

Indeed - you don't hear those terms in everyday conversation.

Used more in written form.

Hi

Thai word for " Passionate" is as above = หลงไหล  ( Longhh  LaiH) is correct.

Thai word for " Intensity " =  ความเข้ม (khwam Khemh)  is correct, but it looked like science meaning for Thai people such as color intensity.

Some Thai words  contained of  a few meanings. It depends on whole sentence too.

STRED , is หลงไหล officially laid down somewhere as meaning passionate?

Possibly because หลงไหล is a misspelling of หลงใหล which is defined as คลั่ง or คลั่งไคล่ known by English speakers as 'passionate' people have been able to explain the misspelt หลงไหล satisfactorily but I found the explanation of หลง + ไหล difficult.
คลั่งไคล่ means to be หลงใหล about something. หลงใหลนักร้อง '.
I Googled ใหล and found that it comes from Lao or Ty and it means ละเมอ . It is used in two combinations หลับใหล หลงใหล .
