Off course it´s wrong to print that he is seriously hurt, but you might assume that the statement can be correct when looking at the wreck.
Just amazing that he is still breathing after that crash, or maybe Google already controls unmanned pick-ups. LOL

Big has the  right of way as a self preservation standard,

the driver fled because  A) he was traumatized ? drunk, drugged, carry illegal substances, was not in possession  of MDL, the pick up was stolen, The driver was legally blind.
